Dr. Elliott Trommald is a foremost authority on the life of Blairstown’s namesake John I. Blair. Dr. Trommald will explore Mr. Blair’s role in starting Blair Academy, as well as his life in the town, railroad empire, bid for NJ Governor and relationships with his family.

This event made possible for the Blairstown Historic Preservation Committee by Dr. Martin Miller of Blair Academy’s History Department. Dr. Miller is liaison to BHPC and since the mid-1980s has led the Society of Skeptic’s lecture program at Blair Academy.

Please note the event will take place at Armstong-Hipkins Center for the Arts – DuBois Theater.
